Modine was interviewed by Variety at the Carmel International Film Festival. He said that he is a longtime friend of Trump’s brother, Robert. During the interview, Modine shared the following story from a former intern of Trump’s in New York. He said:
“I know someone who took a summer intern job with him, a 15-year-old boy, who noticed one day that the secretaries didn’t really speak English, that they didn’t know how to type, that they didn’t really know how to do secretarial work. He thought it was his duty to tell Donald that they weren’t proficient at their secretarial work and he said ‘hey kid, I don’t hire them to be secretaries’.”
It Gets Worse
Modine went on to explain that Trump would place pieces of paper on the floor of his office. He would then call a secretary to come in, bend over, and pick up the piece of paper in front of the intern, who was 15-years-old at the time.
Modine went on to comment:
“He was teaching a 15-year-old, this is how you treat women and these are the women that you want to have around your office.”
Modine’s Take On Pussygate
“It’s embarrassing to call it locker room talk, because anyone who was ever an athlete and spent time in a locker room, I spent a lot of time in locker rooms, and I’ve never heard anybody talk about women the way that he’s spoken about women.”
Finally, Modine went on to say:
“The U.S. deserves better.”
Modine was at the festival to promote his latest short film Super Sex. The short stars Kevin Nealon and Elizabeth Perkins, who play siblings who hire a prostitute for their father’s birthday.
